Daisui fiscal Q4 profit climbs YOY

Daisui Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥2.87 per share, a gain from 59 sen per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥39.4 million, a gain from ¥8.1 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 0.1% from 0.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose year over year to ¥31.13 billion from ¥30.00 billion, and total operating expenses grew year over year to ¥31.09 billion from ¥30.01 billion.

Reported net income grew from the prior-year period to ¥136.0 million, or ¥9.91 per share, from ¥51.0 million, or ¥3.72 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥23.08 per share, an increase of 57.5% from ¥14.66 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was ¥316.9 million, a rise of 57.5% from ¥201.3 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue totaled ¥133.31 billion, compared with ¥132.01 billion in the prior year, and total operating expenses came to ¥132.91 billion, compared with ¥131.80 billion in the prior-year period.

The company said reported net income grew on an annual basis to ¥507.0 million, or ¥36.93 per share, in the full year, from ¥244.0 million, or ¥17.77 per share.

As of June 25, US$1 was equivalent to ¥123.71.
