Thai HA swings to profit in Q2

Thai HA Public Company Ltd said its second-quarter normalized net income came to 891,880 baht, compared with a loss of 14.2 million baht in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 0.3% from negative 4.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased year over year to 290.2 million baht from 296.5 million baht, and total operating expenses fell 7.8% from the prior-year period to 289.0 million baht from 313.5 million baht.

Reported net income totaled 1.4 million baht, or 1 satang per share, compared to a loss of 22.7 million baht, or a loss of 10 satang per share, in the prior-year period.

As of Aug. 11, US$1 was equivalent to 35.39 baht.
