S&P affirms UK's Housing Finance, removes from under criteria observation

S&P Global Ratings on Sept. 7 affirmed the A/A-1 long- and short-term issuer credit ratings of U.K.-based The Housing Finance Corp. Ltd., with a stable outlook.

The rating agency removed the ratings from under criteria observation, where they had been since May 22.

S&P said the A rating factors in its view of the company's "very strong financial profile" and adequate business profile.

The stable outlook reflects S&P's view of the funding company's strong risk management policies and credit process and the expectation that it will continue fulfilling its public policy mandate even in case of increased competition.
