Charoen Pokphand Enterprise (Taiwan) Q3 profit climbs 22.8% YOY

4915366 said its normalized net income for the third quarter was 55 Taiwan cents per share, a gain of 22.8% from 45 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$147.2 million, a gain of 22.8% from NT$119.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 3.3% from 2.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased year over year to NT$4.44 billion from NT$4.54 billion, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to NT$4.17 billion from NT$4.34 billion.

Reported net income increased 12.7% year over year to NT$190.4 million, or 71 cents per share, from NT$169.0 million, or 63 cents per share.
