Meridian Bioscience CFO to retire; replacement named

Meridian Bioscience Inc. said Melissa Lueke is retiring as executive vice president and CFO.

Lueke has been the company's CFO since January 2001. She agreed to provide consulting services to the company on matters related to financial reporting and accounting within an initial three-year period.

The company named Eric Rasmussen to the positions of executive vice president, CFO and principal financial officer. Rasmussen joined Meridian Bioscience as executive vice president of corporate development in June.

Meridian Bioscience also appointed Bryan Baldasare to the role of chief accounting officer. He was previously the company's senior vice president, corporate controller and treasurer.

All these management changes are effective Jan. 1, 2019.

Cincinnati-based Meridian Bioscience is a life science company that manufactures and sells diagnostic test kits, purified reagents and biopharmaceutical enabling technologies.
