Pretium Resources Inc. produced 92,641 ounces of gold in the third quarter from its Brucejack mine in British Columbia, compared to 82,203 ounces in the prior year.
The miner noted that the third quarter of 2017 represented the first full quarter of commercial production.
Pretium said Oct. 9 that the head grade averaged 12.4 g/t during the third quarter, with a 97.4% recovery rate.
"We added C$48 million to our cash on hand during the third quarter, and are focused on sustaining long-term profitability. We are on our way to meeting our gold production guidance of 200,000 to 220,000 ounces of gold for the second half of 2018," Pretium President and CEO Joseph Ovsenek said in a statement. The company had over C$190 million in cash as of Sept. 30.
Brucejack produced 279,670 ounces of gold in the nine months ended Sept. 30. The head grade averaged 12 g/t during the same period, also at a 97.4% recovery rate.
