Report: Colombian, Canadian drillers win most blocks at Colombia oil auction

Colombia auctioned off 14 contracts to operate oil blocks on Dec. 5, Reuters reported, citing the country's National Hydrocarbons Agency.

Colombia's CNE Oil and Gas SAS won three contracts, while Canada's Gran Tierra Energy Inc. and Parex Resources Inc. were each awarded two contracts.

A consortium of Parex and Colombian state-controlled Ecopetrol SA won one contract, and a consortium of Ecopetrol unit Hocol S.A. and GeoPark Ltd. won another.

Other companies awarded one contract apiece were Ecopetrol, Hocol, Canada's Frontera Energy Corp., the U.K.'s Amerisur Resources PLC, and a consortium of Colombia's La Luna Oil Co. Ltd S.A. and Captiva.
