California-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Inc. is setting up a new office in Dublin to expand its European presence.

The new site will complement the company's London office, which will remain its European headquarters. Coinbase said it chose Dublin due to the variety of available workforce, support for innovative technology and its "burgeoning cryptocurrency economy."

The company is also hiring for a number of roles, including heads of business development and compliance in the U.K.
