Banco Santander SA has expanded its Latin American research team to 28 people with the hiring of new analysts, Reuters reported.
The Spain-based bank tapped Alan Alanis as head of Mexico strategy and sector head for food and beverage as well as Maria Tereza Azevedo as sector head for technology, media and telecommunications. Both are from UBS Group.
Other sector heads named are Rafael Barcellos for metals and mining and pulp and paper, Pedro Bruno for capital goods and transportation, Bruno Mendonca for real estate and Marcio Osako for education and healthcare.
