China Coal Energy Co. Ltd. produced about 58.0 million tonnes of coal in the nine months that ended Sept. 30, representing a 3.5% decrease on a yearly basis.
The company's coal sales during the period also fell by 4.5% to 95.9 million tonnes, according to an Oct. 13 release.
China Coal recently flagged an up to a 190% jump in its nine-month profit, driven by the implementation of supply-side structural reform, coal price gains and cost controls.
