Affiliates of middle-market private equity firm AEA Investors LP completed their acquisition of Univar Solutions Inc.'s environmental sciences business for $195 million.

The acquired business is a pest management product supplier operating in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Univar, a global chemical and ingredient distributor, will use net proceeds from the sale to pay down its term loan debt balance.

Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP was legal adviser to AEA Investors. Piper Jaffray & Co. and Stinson LLP were financial and legal advisers, respectively, to Univar.
