Carbine Resources doubles indicated gold resource for tailings dump at Mount Morgan project

CarbineResources Ltd. has expanded the indicated gold resource of the No.2 Mill tailings dump at the Mount Morgan gold-copper project in Queensland,Australia, by 53,000 ounces.

The indicated resource has increased to 2.8 million tonnesat 1.1 g/t for 100,000 contained gold ounces, according to a July 18 statement.

The resource, which is the first of four resource upgrades, alsocontains an estimated 690,000 tonnes of pyrite, 3,200 tonnes of copper metaland 3,300 kilograms of silver metal.

Forty-seven drill holes were completed at the No. 2 Milltailings dump in April to convert the inferred resources to indicated resources.

The updated resource will now be included in the definitivefeasibility study, which is due for completion in the September quarter.
