FacebookInc. introduced a separate Marketplace feature to allow users tobuy and sell items locally.

By accessing the new feature via a shop icon at the end ofthe Facebook app, users will be able to go through items listed for sale bypeople near them, according to an Oct. 3 post by the social networking giant.Facebook will not facilitate the payment or delivery of items in Marketplace.

Marketplace will be available in the U.S., the , Australia, andNew Zealand on the Facebook app for 's iPhone and devicesrunning on GoogleInc.'s Android operating system. The new feature will be launchedin additional countries and on desktop in the coming months.
