Univest Financial CFO to retire; successor named

Roger Deacon, senior executive vice president and CFO of Univest Financial Corp., is set to retire on June 30.

Deacon joined Univest Financial on July 1, 2016, when the Souderton, Pa.-based banking company acquired Fox Chase Bancorp Inc., where he served as CFO for nine years.

Brian Richardson, executive vice president and director of finance at Univest Financial, will assume the CFO role on July 1. Richardson also joined the company from Fox Chase.

To ensure a seamless transition, Univest Financial will retain Deacon as an employee through March 31, 2020, in a nonexecutive, part-time role.
