JPMorgan settles in parental leave discrimination case

New York-based JPMorgan Chase & Co. will pay $5 million to fathers who claim they were denied the opportunity to take additional paid parental leave as primary caregivers, according to the American Civil Liberties Union's website.

The proposed class settlement resolves a discrimination charge filed against JPMorgan by Derek Rotondo, a bank employee who filed the sex discrimination charge that led to the settlement.

JPMorgan is not admitting liability in the settlement.
