US tightens restrictions on 5G exports to Huawei – Bloomberg

The Biden administration is placing stricter conditions on the previously approved export licenses of certain Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. suppliers, Bloomberg News reported March 11, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The restrictions, which are effective as of this week, prohibit the export of items that are used in or with 5G devices, the sources said.

The rules also more explicitly ban the export of components such as semiconductors, antennas and batteries.
