Britain's Competition and Markets Authority is seeking initial third-party feedback on NVIDIA Corp.'s proposed $40 billion acquisition of Arm Ltd. as part of its probe into the transaction's potential impact on competition in the country.
The regulator said Jan. 6 that it is likely to look into whether Arm will have an incentive to withdraw, increase prices or reduce the quality of its IP licensing service to NVIDIA's competitors after the acquisition.
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission launched an investigation into the deal in December 2020, ordering NVIDIA to provide documents related to the acquisition.
