The Burke Group, Roger G. Powell combining

Investment banking firms The Burke Group LLC and Roger G. Powell LLC announced a strategic combination.

As part of the deal, Roger Powell will join The Burke Group as a managing director.

The Burke Group also hired David Walton as senior vice president. He joins the firm from Piper Jaffray.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
