Telefonica's O2 UK expands 5G coverage to 150 locations

Telefónica UK Ltd., or O2 UK, expanded its 5G network to over 150 British towns and cities.

The next-generation wireless service went live in locations including Bournemouth, Cheltenham, Doncaster and Southampton.

The Telefónica SA unit also increased its 5G coverage in large cities such as London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol, Liverpool and Manchester.

In October 2020, O2's 5G network reached 108 U.K. towns and cities.
