Southern National Bancorp of Virginia names new CFO

Southern National Bancorp of Virginia Inc. named Matthew Switzer executive vice president and CFO of the company and its unit Sonabank.

Switzer most recently served as a managing director at Stephens Inc.

Jeff Karafa has assumed the title of chief accounting officer and will continue to be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting functions of the company.
