SK Telecom Co. Ltd. named Ryu Young-sang its new CEO, according to a Nov. 1 announcement.
The new chief executive was previously president of the South Korean telco's mobile network operator business from 2019.
Under the new leadership, SK Telecom is expected to become an artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure company. The telco aims to reach an annual revenue of 22 trillion won in 2025 by improving its fixed and wireless telecommunications, AI service and digital infrastructure service.
As of Oct. 29, US$1 was equivalent to 1,174.97 South Korean won.
