SCE CEO to step down; successor named

Edison International subsidiary Southern California Edison Co. announced Oct. 28 that President and CEO Kevin Payne will step down, effective Dec. 1.

Steven Powell, SCE's executive vice president of operations, will succeed Payne as president and CEO, Edison International said in a news release. Payne has been with SCE for 35 years, the company added.

SCE's senior vice president of customer service, Jill Anderson, will succeed Powell as executive president of operations. Lisa Cagnolatti, who retired from SCE in 2018, will return and succeed Anderson as senior vice president of customer service.

The changes are effective Dec. 1.
