➤ J.P. Morgan finishes 2021 as top utility M&A adviser
J.P. Morgan Securities LLC was the top M&A adviser in the utility sector in 2021, recording $11.85 billion of annual deal credit through five transactions. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC came in second among utility advisers, followed by Barclays Capital Inc. at the third spot.

J.P. Morgan Securities ended the year with the highest value of total debt offerings, while Mizuho Securities USA LLC's big quarter helped it overtake former first-placers TD Securities (USA) LLC and Barclays Capital to land in third place.

Wells Fargo Securities LLC closed 2021 as the top debt underwriter for North American utilities for the second year in a row. J.P. Morgan Securities, which served as the top debt underwriter through the first three quarters of 2021, finished the year in second place.
