OGE Energy Corp. is considering divesting its stake in Enable Midstream Partners, Bloomberg reported Oct. 20, citing people familiar with the matter.
Fellow Enable owner CenterPoint Energy Inc. previously launched a review of its business and assets, which could possibly entail a sale of Enable Midstream. Bloomberg, citing sources, said that OGE Energy is now aligned with that strategy.
While OGE and CenterPoint are working with advisers, no sale decision has been made and they could opt to hold on to the midstream partnership, the sources told Bloomberg.
CenterPoint holds 53.70% of Enable Midstream's common units while OGE holds 25.49% of the partnership's common units, according to data from S&P Global Market Intelligence. The two companies also own Enable Midstream's general partner Enable GP LLC, according to Bloomberg.
