Mediaset appeals court ruling removing limit on Vivendi's stake – Reuters

Italy's Mediaset SpA filed an appeal against the court ruling that annulled a regulator decision limiting Vivendi SA's stake in the broadcaster, Reuters reported Jan. 22, citing two legal sources.

An Italian administrative court had lifted the cap on the French media company's stake in December 2020.

The removal of the cap can allow Vivendi to oppose extraordinary resolutions at Mediaset shareholder meetings and help secure representatives on Mediaset's board, according to the report.
