Lucara Diamond Corp. said Jan. 26 that it recovered an unbroken 378-carat top white gem diamond from the Karowe mine in Botswana.
The diamond was recovered from the Coarse XRT circuit and is the second diamond of over 300 carats recovered from the mine in 2021, following the earlier recovery of an unbroken 341-carat white gem-quality diamond.
Earlier in January, Botswana extended Lucara's mining license for the Karowe diamond mine by 25 years.
