S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a daily roundup of management and board changes at financial institutions in Europe. This feature excludes C-level leadership changes and previously reported stories.
HSBC
Carola Gräfin von Schmettow, head of HSBC Holdings PLC's German unit HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt AG, is stepping down, Bloomberg News reported, citing an internal memo.
Von Schmettow will be replaced by Nicolo Salsano, effective May 1. Salsano oversees global banking and commercial banking at the lender.
Deutsche Bank
Deutsche Bank AG has nominated Volkswagen AG CFO Frank Witter to its supervisory board.
Witter will stand for election at the German lender's May 27 annual general meeting.
He will replace Gerd Alexander Schütz, who is leaving Deutsche Bank after reportedly facing regulatory scrutiny over his dealings with collapsed payments group Wirecard AG.
Additionally, the lender appointed Richard Blacker head of hedge fund coverage and Guy Winkworth head of the sterling business, efinancialcareers reported.
Blacker and Winkworth are joining Deutsche Bank from Morgan Stanley, where they previously served as head of European macro sales across the macro businesses and an inflation trader, respectively.
