First Financial completes acquisition of Hancock Bancorp

Terre Haute, Ind.-based First Financial Corp., the parent company of First Financial Bank NA, completed its acquisition of Hawesville, Ky.-based Hancock Bancorp Inc., the parent company of Hancock Bank and Trust Co.

Immediately following the merger, Hancock Bank & Trust merged with and into First Financial Bank, with First Financial Bank as the surviving entity. Moreover, Hancock Bancorp — through its wholly owned subsidiary HB Subsidiary Inc. — merged with and into First Financial, with the latter as the surviving corporation.
