Equitable Holdings, AllianceBernstein chair resigns

Ramon de Oliveira resigned as chair of the boards of directors of Equitable Holdings Inc. and AllianceBernstein Corp. and as general partner of AllianceBernstein LP and AllianceBernstein Holding LP after engaging in communications that were "inconsistent with the company's standards," according to an 8-K filing.

The company appointed Joan Lamm-Tennant to succeed Oliveira, effective Oct. 22.
