EBay appoints chief product officer

E-commerce company eBay Inc. named Eddie Garcia chief product officer, effective April 18.

The appointment marks Garcia's return to eBay, where he held roles in search and buyer experience from 2003-2014. Garcia will now lead the company's core product team in his new role.

Garcia joins eBay from Meta Platforms Inc., where he was head of commerce for the Facebook app, responsible for Marketplace efforts. Garcia also held key executive posts at Travelzoo Inc. and Sam's Club.
