Coastal States Bank names market president for Bluffton, Beaufort

Hilton Head Island, S.C.-based Coastal States Bank hired Eric Lowman as market president of Bluffton and Beaufort.

Lowman joins from BB&T, now Truist, where he was Beaufort County market president.

Joseph Senna resigned from the board of Medford, Mass.-based Century Bancorp Inc. and Century Bank and Trust Co., effective Feb. 1.

Senna became a director of the company in 1986 and has been a director of the bank since 1979.

Coral Gables, Fla.-based Banesco USA appointed Alvaro Morales and Carlos Escotet to its board.

Morales recently launched a wealth management platform that specializes in investment data aggregation and performance reporting.

Escotet leads a real estate investment fund targeting commercial real estate and multifamily segments in the U.S.

Anchorage, Alaska.-based Northrim BanCorp, Inc. appointed Joseph Marushack to the board, effective Feb. 2.

Marushack recently retired from his position as president of ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc.

Lebanon, Va.-based First Bank and Trust Co. and its parent holding company, First Bancorp Inc., promoted Sophie Chafin Vance to senior vice president and chief branch operations officer.

Prior to the promotion, she was vice president and branch coordinator.

Brian Aguillard was elected to the board of Plaquemine, La.-based Plaquemine Bank and Trust Co., The (Port Allen, La.) West Side Journal reported.

Aguillard began his own practice, B.M. Aguillard & Associates LLC, in 2011.

Financial services

People's United Advisors Inc. appointed Tom Ehrhardt senior vice president and head of private banking.

Ehrhardt joins People's United from Oaknorth U.S., where he was head of credit.
