China Vanke Co. Ltd.'s December contracted sales jumped 77.2% to 101.54 billion yuan from 57.31 billion yuan.
The unaudited sales figure for the reporting month represents 6,422,000 square meters of contracted sales area.
Since its last property update in November, China Vanke spent 39.38 billion yuan for the acquisition of various levels of interest in 34 new development projects across China with a combined land area of 5,302,000 square meters.
The company also acquired three new logistics property projects in December, with an aggregate land premium attributable to its equity holding to be settled worth 445 million yuan.
For the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2020, the real estate giant's accumulated contracted sales climbed to 704.15 billion yuan from 630.84 billion yuan in the prior year, with accumulated contracted sales area increasing to 46,675,000 square meters in the same period from 41,122,000 square meters in 2019.
As of Jan. 6, US$1 was equivalent to 6.46 Chinese yuan.
