Centrica signs deal with Push Energy to develop solar projects in UK

Centrica Business Solutions UK Ltd. reached a framework agreement with renewable developer Push Energy Ltd. to build a solar project pipeline in the U.K., supporting a goal to deliver 900 MW of solar and battery storage by 2026.

Centrica Energy Assets, a solar and battery storage development team established by Centrica Business Solutions, will work with Push Energy to take projects from site identification to commercial operation under the agreement.

Push Energy will serve as the turnkey engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the projects, according to an April 11 news release.

Centrica PLC has committed to reaching net-zero by 2045 and for its customers by 2050.
