Brazil's B3 completes acquisition of data firm Neoway

Brazilian stock exchange B3 SA - Brasil Bolsa Balcão completed the acquisition of data analytics company Neoway Tecnologia Integrada Assessoria e Negócios SA.

The 1.8 billion Brazilian real transaction was announced in October. The selling parties included Accel Partners, Monashees Gestão de Investimentos Ltda., Temasek Holdings (Pte.) Ltd. and CapSur Capital Gestão de Recursos Ltda.

At the time, B3 CEO Gilson Finkelsztain highlighted the strategic nature of acquiring the data and analytics company. "This acquisition is part of our strategy to accelerate innovation and growth in areas complementary to our core businesses," Finkelsztain told financial analysts. "Data and analytics products are [a] growing source of revenue for stock exchanges around the world."

As of Dec. 23, US$1 was equivalent to 5.70 Brazilian reais.
