* Battery Ventures raised $3.3 billion for Battery Ventures XIV LP and a companion vehicle, and $530 million for Battery Ventures Select Fund II LP.

DEALS

* Apax Partners LLP may sell aesthetic-device maker Candela Medical Inc. at a valuation of more than $1 billion, Bloomberg News reported July 14, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

* Actis LLP tapped Citigroup to help sell the firm's BTE Renewables business in South Africa, Bloomberg News reported July 14, citing people familiar with the matter. The deal could value the renewable energy development company at almost $1 billion, the report said.

* Gridiron Capital LLC invested in CEO coaching and peer advisory organization Vistage Worldwide Inc. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

FUNDRAISING

* Energy company Monolith Inc. raised more than $300 million in an investment round led by TPG Capital LP's TPG Rise Climate LP and Decarbonization Partners, which is managed by BlackRock Inc. and Temasek Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd.

* Energy storage business Powin LLC secured $135 million in growth equity investment. Trilantic North America and Energy Impact Partners LLC participated in the investment round.

* Carrick Capital Management Co. LLC led the $75 million series B funding round of cybersecurity company Bishop Fox LLC.

* Protein therapeutics company Manifold Biotechnologies Inc. secured $40 million in a series A financing round led by Triatomic Capital.

VENTURE CAPITAL

* Presidio Ventures made a strategic investment in nonfungible token company Web3 Pro Inc. through a bridge round.
