Shareholders of Banca Carige SpA appointed Giuseppe Boccuzzi chair of the Italian bank's board of directors.
Paolo Ravà was also named deputy chair of the board, the lender said Feb. 22.
Both Boccuzzi and Ravà are candidates of Italian deposit guarantee fund Fondo Interbancario di Tutela dei Depositi, or FITD, with Boccuzzi previously serving as director general of the fund. The two will hold their new posts until the remaining term of Carige's current board expires.
