DST Bluedoor Pty. Ltd. lodged legal action against AMP Ltd. in the Supreme Court of Victoria, in a A$27 million dispute for allegedly poaching 11 employees, The Australian reported Feb. 11.
The move came as DST claims AMP and former founding director Mark Cassar "induced" employees to move to the company despite a licensing agreement that neither DST nor AMP could solicit each other's staff.
Meanwhile, AMP countersued DST, arguing the deal was void as the latter unlawfully restricted competition and financial technology employees' ability to find future work. AMP also alleged DST failed to deliver its software as promised, claiming A$7.5 million in losses, according to the report.
