Aspen Publishing nets loans backing acquisition by Transom Capital

Wolters Kluwer's Legal & Regulatory U.S. Legal Education received debt financing backing an acquisition of the business by Transom Capital Group.

Varagon Capital Partners was the lender.

The business will be renamed Aspen Publishing. Proceeds are earmarked to fund growth of the business.

The company provides legal education content, study aids and digital learning systems.
