Mark joined S&P Global in 2006 as a Senior Software Engineer. During his tenure, he has worked his way through a variety of roles and now serves as Vice President, Architecture. His work focuses on rolling out the Data Management System across our organization and the development of the Data Pipeline and Data Glue strategies. He aims to improve time-to-market for product delivery as well as the accuracy and timeliness of our content through these initiatives by providing common, well-known data models leveraging a multitude of horizontally-scalable database technologies. He specializes in enterprise system architecture and service-oriented design. Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University.
Key Accomplishments:
Developed ObjectViews database, which enabled years of expedient development and cemented the role of Data Management System (DMS) across Content and Product Development organizations in the Division. Currently working on the evolution of the DMS and its closest sub-systems (Data Pipeline, Data Glue).
Conceptualized and championed HyDRA, the reporting service instrumental in the porting of the legacy SNL 2.0 product into what is now Market Intelligence Platform.

Georg heads machine learning R&D at Kensho Technologies. His work focuses on the development of novel algorithms for applications in natural language processing, unstructured data analysis, and forecasting of human behavior within the financial markets.
Prior to joining Kensho, Georg received his PhD in Physics from Harvard University. His work included building quantum thermometers for in-vivo cell measurements, developing quantum memory made from diamond and establishing the existence of a new phase of matter dubbed time-crystals. Minimize
