Oklo Inc. (NYSE: OKLO) is among the companies seeking to capitalize on the growing electricity demand from AI data centers. Shares of the development-stage nuclear technology company are currently down about 47% year-to-date and roughly 33% over the past 12 months as questions loom around the company's long-term growth potential against regulatory hurdles and the absence of commercial operations.

The company is still progressing through the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's licensing process and continues to report operating losses. Visible Alpha consensus forecasts show operating losses widening from $139.3 million in 2025 to $194.3 million in 2026, as Oklo continues to invest in development and prepares for commercial deployment.

Despite those near-term losses, analysts expect 2026 to mark a key inflection point. Visible Alpha consensus points to Oklo generating its first commercial revenue of about $3.8 million in 2026, signaling the transition from a development-stage nuclear technology company to a revenue-generating clean energy business. The initial revenue contribution is expected to come from Oklo’s Atomic Alchemy radioisotope business, rather than electricity sales, providing an early commercial pathway ahead of its planned reactor deployments.

Revenue is forecast to accelerate thereafter, reaching about $434 million by 2030 and $4.7 billion by 2035, according to Visible Alpha consensus. The projections reflect expectations that advanced nuclear technologies could play a larger role in meeting demand for reliable, low-carbon power from AI infrastructure and other energy-intensive industries, although the pace of growth remains dependent on regulatory approvals and successful commercial execution.
