10.4 Release Highlights | ChartIQ, S&P Global Market Intelligence

At ChartIQ, we’re continuously evolving our platform to make financial charting more intelligent, intuitive, and scalable. Version 10.4.0 builds on this vision with meaningful advancements across AI implementations, analytical capabilities, and user experience, bringing teams closer to delivering seamless, production-ready AI charting.

Strengthening the Foundation for AI Charting

This release introduces key improvements to how AI interacts with the chart, making implementations more reliable, controllable, and flexible.

  • Refactored executor framework removes UI dependencies, enabling more scalable, programmatic integrations
  • Improved system prompts for the Chart Explainer and Conversations Plugin introduces stronger guardrails and more consistent outputs
  • Expanded command registry enhances model guidance while enabling new capabilities, including AI-driven annotations, drawing tools, and callouts directly on the chart

Smarter Data Handling and Performance

To support more advanced AI workflows, we’ve improved how data is managed and delivered to the model:

  • Configurable limits on large data payloads help prevent context overload and improve response performance
  • Enhanced parameter handling and system guidance improve output clarity and reliability

These changes ensure that as AI capabilities grow, performance and responsiveness remain consistent.

Expanded Analytical Capabilities

Version 10.4.0 significantly expands the depth and accessibility of chart-based analysis:

  • A new  Strength study introduces percent-based calculations and enhanced visualization options
  • SignalIQ integration has been deepened, with signals now embedded directly in the study browser, improved lifecycle handling, and simplified management workflows
  • Signal persistence across multi-chart layouts allows users to reuse, modify, and propagate signals seamlessly across panels
  • 11 new moving average studies improve discoverability and make it easier to apply the right variation

These enhancements make advanced analysis easier to access while supporting more sophisticated workflows for power users.

Enhanced Visualization and Customization

We’ve introduced a range of updates to improve how users interact with and interpret chart data:

  • A new infobox tooltip for Term Structure charts replaces the HUD with a more flexible, customizable data display
  • Improved tooltip layout and formatting deliver clearer, more scalable data visibility across chart types
  • Expanded marker customization allows users to control color, shape, size, positioning, and even emoji-based annotations
  • UI improvements across studies, legends, and chart components create a more intuitive and consistent experience

The result is a charting environment that adapts more easily to different workflows and user preferences.

Built for Extensibility

This release also introduces new developer capabilities to support customization and integration:

  • New APIs for exporting and importing studies
  • Expanded event handling and configuration options across the chart engine
  • Continued alignment toward a more modular and extensible platform architecture

These updates make it easier for teams to tailor ChartIQ to their specific use cases and workflows.

Bringing It All Together

While each of these enhancements delivers value individually, their combined impact is what moves the platform forward. Version 10.4.0 strengthens the foundation for AI-driven charting while expanding the tools available to analyze, interpret, and interact with market data.
