In Q4 2025, Australia recorded 172 M&A transactions with a total value of US$20.3 billion. Although the number of deals decreased by 30% compared to Q4 2024, the transaction value saw a significant increase of 51.4%, indicating a shift towards higher-value deals.
Year-to-date figures for 2025 further highlight key trends. While the inbound market experienced a 44.4% decrease in transaction value, the domestic and outbound markets showed growth of 21.7% and16.8%, respectively. Notably, the Communication Services sector in the inbound market, Information Technology in the outbound market, and Real Estate in the domestic market demonstrated strong growth.
