In YTD 2025, Greater China had a total of 1135 M&A deals worth
US$115.2bn.
Despite a decline in total deal volume compared to YTD 2024, the
aggregate transaction value in Greater China's M&A sector increased
by 15.8% in YTD 2025, driven largely by a 31.3% rise in domestic and
inbound deals.
In YTD 2025, within the domestic & inbound sector realm,
communication services displayed the largest growth at 534%,
followed by information technology at 221%, and utilities at 176%. For
the outbound realm, the strongest were consumer discretionary and
healthcare at 359% and 305%, respectively.
