MLC Life Insurance named Jane McGovern chief risk officer, InvestorDaily reported.
McGovern, who will join MLC Life Insurance on Sept. 19, will succeed Acting Chief Risk Officer Edwina Star. McGovern serves as group executive for risk and governance at iCare NSW.

Chubb Life named Jee Eun Cho country president of its newly acquired Korean life insurance operations. Cho has led the business, which was acquired from Cigna Corp. along with other Asian operations, as CEO since 2020.
Additionally, Jack Chang will serve as president of Chubb Life's life insurance operations in Taiwan that were bought from Cigna. Chang is president of Chubb Life Taiwan.
Chang will lead the integration, subject to regulatory approval, of the Chubb Life and Cigna Taiwan insurance operations in this market. During the integration period, Rose Huang, current Chubb Life Taiwan CFO, will serve as president of Chubb Life Taiwan.
Chubb Life also appointed Gail Costa to lead its newly acquired life insurance operations of Cigna in New Zealand. Costa, currently CEO of Cigna Life New Zealand, will continue to be in charge of the business, which will operate under the Chubb Life brand in New Zealand.

The China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission approved the appointments of He Jianfeng and Cai Xun as nonexecutive directors of Ping An Insurance (Group) Co. of China Ltd., effective July 1.

Mary O'Connor took over as CEO of HowdenCAP, Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd.'s capital, advisory and placement business for financial institutions and corporates.

MS Amlin Underwriting Ltd. appointed Grant Baxter to the newly created role of head of reinsurance and deputy chief underwriting officer, subject to regulatory approval.
Baxter was head of portfolio management in Liberty's global risk solutions division.

BMS Group Ltd. named Dominic Morrison a director and Toby Hooker a broker as part of its Asian expansion, Reinsurance News reported.
Cathy Lai and Sagar Mehta also joined BMS as business development lead and associate director, respectively. Lai will be based in Hong Kong, while Mehta will be in Singapore.

Gallagher Re named Christian Kreutzer executive director, Reinsurance News reported.
Kreutzer, who will join the reinsurance broker's Nordic management team, was head of the Nordic, Baltics, Russian and Dutch region at Swiss Re AG.

Additionally, the Everest Re Group Ltd. appointed Chris Curtin senior vice president and head of U.S. property, Patrick Hagerty vice president, division underwriting officer for U.S. property, and Maria Grace chief underwriting officer of global property.
