U.K.-based solar company Cero Generation Ltd. launched a 100-MW solar photovoltaic project in Greece.
The Delfini solar project in Prosotsani Drama has a power purchase agreement with an unnamed off-taker, and Cero said in a July 15 news release this is the first private solar PPA in the country. The project will help Greece achieve its goal of reaching a 70% renewable share in local power consumed by 2030, Cero said.
In 2021, Cero and Greek renewable energy developer Wattcrop formed a joint venture to deliver an extensive portfolio of solar energy projects in Greece.
Cero is a portfolio company of Macquarie Group Ltd.'s Green Investment Group Ltd.
