Axis Group Benefits' supplemental medical insurance policy; Malayan's pet plan

Several insurance companies disclosed new products and coverage enhancements in recent days.

Life and health

Axis Group Benefits rolled out HealthGap, a supplemental medical insurance policy that complements an employee's qualified major medical policy by reimbursing covered up-front and out-of-pocket costs.

Axis Group Benefits is part of Axis Capital Holdings Ltd.'s accident and health division.

Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. launched ApexAdvantage, a fixed index annuity product available exclusively through independent marketing organizations Advisors Excel, Creative One and Gradient Financial Group.

The product has an optional FutureNow Rider Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit. Payouts can be activated in as soon as 30 days after policy issue for anyone age 50 or older.

Alignment Healthcare Inc. will introduce its health plans in Florida and Texas, and into additional counties in California, North Carolina, Arizona and Nevada, pending regulatory approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Malayan Insurance Co. Inc. partnered with GCash and Igloo to launch Pet Insure, a customized non-life product for dogs, Manila Bulletin reported.

Transamerica updated its supplemental Transamerica Accident Insurance and Transamerica Critical Illness Insurance policies.

The company added new benefits including an organized sports benefit rider, acupuncture or chiropractic benefits, and mental health benefits to Transamerica Accident Insurance. Newly introduced benefits for Transamerica Critical Illness Insurance include child benefits, benefits for COVID-19 treatment and second opinion benefit.

The company's business owners policy combines both property and general liability coverage.

Among other policy enhancements, the company rolled out "Side D" entity coverage for regulatory investigation costs related to climate-related financial disclosures within its London carrier-backed Marsh Delta D&O facility.

Axa UK rolled out five home insurance products across its Axa and Swiftcover brands.

The products, which will have staggered cover limits, will allow customers to select items they want to cover in and outside of their homes.
