World Insurance Associates acquires Massachusetts-based insurance agency

World Insurance Associates LLC acquired Belmont, Mass.-based Commercial Insurance Agency, effective May 1.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The target serves the food and hospitality business, with an emphasis on food processing, distributing, manufacturing and restaurants.

Giordano Halleran & Ciesla provided legal counsel to World Insurance Associates. Fortrust Diligence advised them on the transaction. Morrison Mahoney LLP provided legal counsel to Commercial Insurance Agency, while PKF O'Connor Davies served as its financial adviser.
