Huntington Bancshares completes acquisition of Capstone Partners

Columbus, Ohio-based Huntington Bancshares Inc. completed the acquisition of investment banking and advisory firm Capstone Partners LLC.

The combination adds investment banking and financial advisory capabilities to Huntington and accelerates the company's full-service middle-market capabilities in extended geographies.

Capstone has primary offices in Boston and Denver and additional offices in 12 U.S. cities, including Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia.

Huntington Bancshares is the holding company of Huntington National Bank.

Keefe Bruyette & Woods was financial adviser to Capstone Partners in the deal.
