Permira acquires Mimecast for $5.8B; Brookfield to buy HomeServe for £4.08B

* Funds advised by Permira Advisers Ltd. completed the acquisition of email and cloud security company Mimecast Ltd. for approximately $5.8 billion.

* Brookfield Asset Management Inc. agreed to purchase U.K.-based home repair services firm HomeServe PLC for £4.08 billion, Reuters reported.

* Private equity firm CVC Capital Partners Ltd., through CVC Capital Partners VIII LP, agreed to acquire a majority stake in The Quality Group, which manufactures sports performance nutrition products and healthy, low-sugar food alternatives in the DACH region.

* PAI Partners and real estate funds managed by TPG Capital LP joined forces to make an offer for Parkdean Resorts, valued at £1.6 billion, Sky News reported.

* L Catterton Partners, through its Latin American unit, agreed to acquire a significant minority interest in Mexico-based lending platform Crediclub SA de CV Sociedad Financiera Popular.

* Brookfield Asset Management invested in CrescoNet LLC, which provides electric, water and gas smart metering and related services.

* LLR Partners Inc. invested in Allmark Door Co. LLC, a Philadelphia-based commercial door and loading dock services provider.

* PSG Equity LLC made a strategic growth investment in Qmulos LLC, a Chantilly, Va.-based integrated compliance, security and risk management automation provider.

VENTURE CAPITAL

* NVP Associates LLC, or Norwest Venture Partners, led a $45 million series B funding round for Noyo, an application programming interface. Workday Ventures Inc. and Costanoa Venture Capital Partners LLC were among the other investors in the round.

* Biotechnology company Inceptor Bio LLC obtained $37 million in series A financing led by Kineticos Ventures.

* Bravado Network Inc., developer of an online community for sales professionals, secured $26 million in a series B funding round led by Tiger Global Management LLC. Redpoint Management LLC and Freestyle Capital, among other investors, participated in the round.
