Telecom and technology solutions company iQSTEL Inc. acquired Whisl Telecom LLC in a cash-and-stock deal, according to a May 9 announcement.
Under the deal, iQSTEL acquired 51% control of Whisl Telecom for about $1.3 million in cash and $550,000 in iQSTEL restricted common shares, with a holding period of six months.
The transaction expands iQSTEL's core IQSTelecom operation and adds to the announced acquisition of telco Smartbiz Telecom LLC as well as the consolidation of iQSTEL units Etelix, SwissLink, QGlobal and IoTLabs.
Whisl Telecom, which provides voice-/short-messaging services to U.S. corporate customers and operators, is iQSTEL's sixth telecommunications acquisition, according to CEO Leandro Iglesias.
